A Process Maturity Assessment evaluates the attributes of a company's processes to determine the process's ability to consistently and continuously contribute to achieving organizational objectives. Processes with a high ability to contribute to these objectives are considered mature.
The maturity of a process or activity can be defined to be at one of five levels, from Level 1 (the least mature) to level 5 (the most mature).
Level 0 – Person-Dependent Practices.
Level 1 – Documented Process.
Level 3 – Full Deployment.
Level 4 – Measured and Automated.
Level 5 – Continuously Improving.
